Connect Claude or ChatGPT

BuoyAI Connect lets Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support custom connectors (MCP) read your Buoy data, so you can ask “how’s my grocery budget this month?” wherever you already chat.

Add it

The connector address is:

• Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, and paste the address.
• ChatGPT: on a paid plan on the web, turn on Developer mode under Settings → Apps, then add the address as a connector.

The assistant opens a Buoy page titled “Connect (assistant) to BuoyAI”. Check the account shown under “Signed in as”, then tap Approve. You’ll see “Connected” and a button back to the assistant.

What it can do

It can read your accounts, transactions, spending summaries, budgets and count-up categories, cash flow, savings goals, subscriptions, income, your settings, your rewards, past Buoy chats, and these help pages.

It can save a note you ask it to remember, if AI Memory is on in Buoy.

It can’t change budgets or transactions, and it can never move or spend money.

Questions from a connected assistant count toward the same hourly and daily AI limits as Buoy’s own chat.

Disconnect

Remove the Buoy connector in the assistant’s settings. Buoy doesn’t have its own list of connected assistants or a disconnect button yet.
