Subscriptions

Buoy looks through up to two years of your transactions for charges that repeat.

A merchant becomes a suggestion when it charges a similar amount on a regular schedule at least three times, or twice about a year apart for annual plans. Detection runs weekly on its own. You can also tap Detect to run it now, then it rests for seven days (shown as “Cooldown”).

On Premium, the AI also double-checks suggestions.

  • Add it to your subscriptions.
  • Snooze it for a week up to three months.
  • Dismiss it; it won’t come back for 60 days.
  • Never suggest this merchant again.

Suggestions you leave alone expire after 90 days.

A subscription that misses two or more billing cycles is flagged Possibly Cancelled. Choose Keep Active if it’s still running (some charge irregularly), or Cancel It to mark it ended in Buoy. Buoy doesn’t cancel anything with the merchant; you still do that with them directly.

For finding the ones you forgot about, see How to find the subscriptions you forgot you were paying for.
